Astros host Yankees tonight in the first game of the ALCS

Bring on the Yankees!

That's what Astros fans are saying after beating the Rays in five games in the ALDS. But now there's a new mission. A World Series appearance.

The Astros are in the American League Championship Series for the third straight year, and for the second time in those three seasons, the Yankees will be the opponent.

While the Astros were pushed to their limit by the Rays, the Yankees swept the Minnesota Twins in the ALDS and have not played since Monday.

Games One and Two are here in Houston at Minute Maid Park, something manager A.J. Hinch is happy about.

"Everybody talks about Game six and seven at the end of the series. I like the fact it's opening up here," Hinch stated.

Hinch also knows the Yankees are well rested.

"The Yankees have been watching. They will come well prepared. They are healthy," Hinch said.

Gerrit Cole, who was the hero on Thursday night in Game Five, knows exactly what the Yankees bring to the table.

"Boatload of talent. That's just kind of how they are made. It's going to be a touch matchup," Cole explained.

Coverage on Sports Talk 790 starts this afternoon at 5 o'clock. First pitch just after 7 o'clock, which is when KTRH joins in on the coverage.
