Beto O'Rourke isn't Hurting Texas Gun Business

Beto O'Rourke's latest anti-gun rant [ "Hell yes we're going to take away you AR15s and AK17s"} isn't hurting Texas gun business. After O'Rourke's threat to take away certain rifles, an Arizona gun store ran a “Beto Special” and sold out of them in 4 hours. Craig Davis of Texas Gun Club says he hears a lot from his clientele. “’To protect what we’ve got and not be infringed upon’ – that's what we hear a lot --- both at the gun range and the retail store." Davis says the anti-gun rhetoric is not hurting his business. "We have especially seen an increase in training. We see an uptick in getting their license to carry before they won’t be able to do so any more.”

“I don’t think people who really understand what the platform is all about agree with the common perception of them --- so I think they will not willingly give them up." Davis says he doesn't see anyone giving up their rifles or any other gun.
