Mattress Mack and everyone else inside his Gallery Furniture store are breathing a sigh of relief today, after three robbery suspects in masks held up the Woodforest Bank inside Gallery Furniture yesterday.
It was just after 6 o'clock last night when police said the three suspects wearing masks held up the bank. Mack had called the police, but they'd already been told the robbery was happening.
The police were called, and got a vehicle description and license plate number from a security guard. Patrol officers chased the suspects until they crashed their getaway vehicle on North Green River near Sultan Drive.
The suspects tried to run off, but didn't get very far. Police recovered the stolen cash and later brought the accused robbers back to the store for bank employees to identify.
No one was hurt.
