The underwear maker Tommy John surveyed 2,000 men and women about their underwear habits and discovered that 45 percent of Americans admitted they’ve worn the same pair of underwear for two days or more. Men (surprise surprise) were 2.5 time more likely to wear the same pair of underwear for over a week.
About half of Americans have owned the same underwear for over a year and another 38 percent have no idea how long they’ve owned their intimates. Tommy John suggests to throw out those old skivvies every six month.
According to a UK study, clean underwear can contain up to 10,000 live bacteria which can lead to illnesses such as yeast and urinary tract infections.
So don’t be nasty, change your underwear!
