Texas reached a record level of business applications since Trump elected

According to data from the U.S. Census Bureau, business applications are up in Texas by roughly 15 percent.

Region Six SBA regional administrator Justin Crossie said if you're looking to start a small business, now is the time to do it.

"The economic climate is the best that it's been. We've seen nearly a billion dollars in SBA loans supporting over 15,000 jobs," said Crossie.

He said of the 32 counties making up the Houston district.

"President Trump is delivering on his message of revitalizing the economy, generating new jobs, increased confidence with the American worker, increased wages and just overall great opportunity," said Crossie.

He said the American small business is the backbone of this country's economy.

The business formation statistics show twelve states reached a record level, including several states that are seen as competitive states in the 2020 U.S. Presidential election.

This is on top of over 620,900 jobs being created and the unemployment rate lowering by more than a percent in Texas since President Trump’s election.
