An enormous vacant mansion in Manvel is about to be occupied by its first tenant, a Christian school.

Construction on the 60-thousand-square-foot mansion started in 2001, but nobody ever bought it once it was finished.

Heritage Christian Academy plans to move into the mansion on County Road 59 at Highway 288. School officials say they'd been looking for a new location, and the mansion will double its available space.

The academy aims to move into the huge home's first floor by August 2020.
