GRAPHIC VIDEO: 89-year old man beaten by mugger in southeast Houston

The Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division and Crime Stoppers are asking for your help identifying the suspect who beat and robbed an 89-year old man three weeks ago.

HPD says the victim was finishing his afternoon walk and was walking up his driveway. The police say that a man, who has previously been seen in the neighborhood, approached him. That man began to make small talk and led him to the side of his house.

The robber then demanded his wallet and after the man resisted, he was thrown to the ground and brutally beaten with a closed fist. The robbert also placed his knee on his face as he pushed it into the ground numerous times. Eventually, you see the older man pass out and the suspect then reaches into his pockets to steal his wallet.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 30 to 35 years old.

Crime Stoppers may pay up to $5,000 for information leading to the charging and/or arrest of the suspect in this case. Information may be reported by calling 713-222-TIPS (8477).
