A Harris County homeowner shot a man who was sleeping in his front yard according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.
This all took place on Barker Bluff Lane near Barker Cypress.The homeowner apparently heard a noise outside shortly before 5 o'clock this morning, grabbed his gun and went out to see what was going on.
The homeowner then found a man sleeping in the yard. The homeowner woke him up. There was a confrontation, and the man allegedly charged at the homeowner, who fired his gun, hitting the intruder twice.
The man was taken to Ben Taub Hospital. Deputies are looking into why the man was on the lawn.
There's no word yet as to whether or not the homeowner will be charged.
