Trump says he could leave Chamber of Commerce

President Trump isn’t happy with the Chamber of Commerce.

The President told CNBC on Monday that he could leave the Chamber of Commerce because they don't support his tariff policy.

“The Chamber is probably more for the companies and the people that are members than they are for our country,” Trump said.

National Tea Party co-founder Michael Johns told KTRH he agrees with the President.

“They have failed to place many American interests at the forefront of their agenda,” Johns said.

Johns adds that leaving the group would have a big impact.

“It’s significantly symbolic in the sense that you have the President of the United States departing an organization of such prominence,” Johns stated.

The Chamber of Commerce did not respond to our request for comment.
