(Lubbock, TX) -- The city of Lubbock is condemning students who turned to vandalism to celebrate Texas Tech's Final Four basketball victory over Michigan State. Thousands of students flooded the streets Saturday night, flipping cars and building bonfires in the streets.
Police in riot gear eventually fired tear gas to disperse the crowds. City officials said Texas Tech fans need to celebrate lawfully. The Red Raiders will face Virginia in the national championship game tonight at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. It's the first trip to the championship for Tech.
