Two men are in custody, accused of shooting a 2-year-old boy in southwest Houston back on March 30th of this year.
Leonard Butler and Preston Mark Wakefield the men police say are now charged in that shooting.
Houston Police held a press conference Friday morning and say they responded to the scene at Haviland Park around 5:25p.m. where the child was found, twice wounded by gunfire while playing.
That child is now fighting for his life and critical.
Witnesses at the scene at the time, told police a suspected gunman in a grey car was in the parking lot and began firing at a care the boy and his mom were in.
Butler is charged with injury to a child and aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon, as well as aggravated assault.
Wakefield is also charged with injury to a child and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
