State Bills Filed To Expand List Of Ailments Treatable With Cannabis Oil

(Austin, TX) -- A Republican state representative is moving to expand the list of patients who can be treated with cannabis oil.

Rep. Stephanie Klick's 2015 Compassionate Use Act legalized the sale of medical cannabis oil to Texans with intractable epilepsy. On Thursday, the Fort Worth representative filed a bill to make cannabis oil with low levels of THC available to Texans with epilepsy, multiple sclerosis and spasticity.

Other legislators are filing bills to expand access to cannabis oil for patients with autism, Crohn's disease and PTSD.
