Confidence in mainstream media hits bottom

This might not shock you. It shouldn’t shock you. But your confidence in the mainstream media has hit rock bottom.

It's so bad, that the Columbia Journalism Review poll says you're more confident in Congress! Political analyst Debbie Georgatos isn't all that surprised.

“It’s very troubling. People want to understand truth and what’s happening in Washington,” Georgatos said.

And there's this; 60% of you believe sources pay for stories. Georgatos doesn't think that's far-fetched.

“People believe in the idea that a news outlet they already perceive as biased is running with a story that doesn’t sound right or seem true,” Georgatos explained.

Of all the demographic groups that took part in the poll, only Democrats said they were confident in the media.
