TODAY IN HISTORY: Space Challenger Exploded 33 Year Ago

In 1986, space shuttle Challenger exploded 72-seconds after liftoff from Cape Canaveral.  All seven astronauts on board were killed.  The blast was caused by a failure of the shuttle's rocket booster O-rings due to cold weather at launch time.
