George H.W. Bush eulogized Ronald Reagan at the latter's funeral in 2004

(Simi Valley, CA)  --  The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute is reacting to the news of the death of former President George H.W. Bush.  The Simi Valley library said in a statement that "President Reagan and Vice President Bush forged a remarkable partnership...as they reignited the U.S. economy, battled tyranny across the globe and restored America's pride and purpose."

The statement also said "Reagan relied on his vice president's calm, strength, loyalty and wisdom."  Mr. Bush served as Vice President from 1981 until 1989 -- the year he was elected as the nation's 41st Commander-in-Chief.  Bush died last night at his Houston home at the age of 94.
