Scariest Halloween movies of all-time

HOUSTON - A new survey is out about the scariest Halloween movies of all-time and the winner was "The Exorcist." Halloween and Friday the 13th rounded out the top 3. Film critic Dustin Chase found the list to be a bit on the unoriginal side and says folks should check out a film released earlier this year.

"Hereditary is so scary that people won't watch. A lot of times in America, we think we want to be scared but we want to be scared on our own terms."

Chase says "Hereditary" is one of the scariest films he's seen and thinks it is one of the best movies of the year.

The survey found the scariest horror villain to be Freddy Kreuger from the "Nightmare on Elm Street" series of films.
