FEDERAL AUTHORITIES INVESTIGATING SUSPICIOUS PACKAGES ADDRESSED TO THE CLINTONS AND OBAMAS

Federal authorities are investigating suspicious packages addressed to the homes of Bill and Hillary Clinton in New York and the Obamas' home in Washington, D.C..

A potentially workable explosive device that was addressed to the Clintons' home in Chappaqua, New York, was found early Wednesday, a senior law enforcement official said.

It is similar in construction to an explosive device found earlier this week in the home mailbox of billionaire George Soros in a nearby community.

A suspicious package addressed to the Obamas' house was also intercepted.

CNN NEW YORK HEADQUARTERS EVACUATED

The Time Warner Center in New York City, home to CNN's headquarters, was evacuated Wednesday morning after police was called about a suspicious package in the mailroom there.

The evacuation from the sprawling, mixed-use building in the heart of Manhattan came as news broke about suspicious packages being sent to former president Barack Obama and former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

TMZ is reporting:

The FBI now says a bomb was also sent to The White House and the device contained "projectiles." And, the FBI now says all of the bombs are connected ... presumably to the same perpetrator(s).
