Humble Teen Says Donut Shop Tossed Him And His Service Dog Out

(Humble, TX)  --  A diabetic teenager says a donut shop in Humble recently told him and his service dog to leave.  Kyle Leisinger, a 17-year-old high school senior, says his dog is trained to alert him to changes in his blood sugar.

He says he went to Bakery Donuts last week for a kolache, and the employees told him he couldn't bring a dog inside.  The Americans with Disabilities Act requires most businesses to accommodate service dogs.

An interpreter says the employees are Cambodian and didn't understand the law, but they now apologize for the misunderstanding.
