(Houston, TX) -- The only Egyptian temple on the Southwest Freeway will be reopening soon. Magic Island was shut down ten years ago as a result of a fire triggered by Hurricane Ike.
Some local explorers took to explore the building after it was shut down. Here's their video...
Now owners say the new Magic Island will be the same dining and entertainment venue Houstonians remember, but with less of a circus-like atmosphere.
The plans call for a large outdoor terrace, Las Vegas-style magic acts, and an indoor live theater that seats 150. The reopening date is November 15th, but party reservations are already available.
