Former Texas A&M Mascot, Reveille VIII, Laid To Rest at Kyle Field

A funeral was held today for the beloved Rough Collie that served as Texas A&M’s Mascot for seven years before retiring is 2015.

Revielle VIII was buried with honors next to her seven predecessors in Zone Plaza overlooking the scoreboard at Kyle Field.

Over 200 mourners and six of her former handlers attended the ceremony to bid a fond farewell to the former “First Lady of Aggieland.”

The Rough Collie died June 25th at the age of 12 and was laid to rest before the season opener tonight against Northwestern State.
