Fire destroys 14 apartment units in North Houston

Fire raged through a North Houston apartment building this morning, forcing residents to the street from 14 units.

Firefighters had to call for extra units to battle the blaze in the two-story building near Langwick Drive and Hardy Street.

A complex spokesperson said the building had just been renovated after being flooded during Hurricane Harvey. Residents whose apartments were destroyed will be moved into other units, according to building management.

No injuries were reported, and the cause is under investigation.
