A man remains hospitalized after being bitten by a shark Thursday morning near Crystal Beach along the Bolivar Peninsula.
The victim, an unidentified Brazoria County man in his 40s who was visiting the island, is being treated at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston for a deep thigh bite.
He is reported to be in stable condition with a non-life-threatening injury.
The attack took place near South Stingaree Drive.
