City And County File Lawsuit To Battle Prostitution Zone In SW Houston

Police Conduct Major Prostitution Sting

(Houston, TX)  --  City and county officials are waging war on a notorious prostitution zone in southwest Houston.  Harris County Attorney Vince Ryan filed a lawsuit Wednesday morning aimed at a stretch of Bissonnet between the Southwest Freeway and the West Belt.  

Ryan joined Mayor Sylvester Turner, HPD Chief Art Acevedo, and other officials at City Hall in the afternoon to announce the lawsuit against 86 alleged pimps, prostitutes, and patrons.  

Many of the suspects also have past arrests for sex trafficking and violent crimes.
