The media has been focusing on the children of people trying to come into the United States illegally. But they’ve been ignoring things that have been happening here at home for many years.
“The media never talks about the American victims of illegal immigration,” President Trump said at a rally last Wednesday in Minnesota.
And it's something that bothers Maria Espinoza, who founded the Remembrance Project as a voice for the victims of illegal immigration in 2009.
“MSNBC and the mainstream media just ignores Americans and our calamities here,” Espinoza stated.
Espinoza tells KTRH that it's not only the media that ignores this; they’ve had their issues getting politicians to pay attention as well.
“Going on nine and a half years here, and yet we were not able to get any legislators to pay attention to what has been taking place,” Espinoza explained, adding that as recently as this past Friday, she met with President Trump to talk about this very issue.
