While the mainstream media keeps showing you the pictures of children being held in cages at detention centers, they forget an inconvenient truth. This very same thing has happened before, and it happened under President Obama.
There were pictures in 2014, too. Brandon Darby of Breitbart Texas took those pictures. He published them too. But he tells KTRH he's not surprised the mainstream media did nothing with the story.
“The media did not grab on to them because it was very critical, from a humanitarian perspective, of the Obama Administration,” Darby said
And Don Hooper with the Houston Conservative Forum says Darby has nailed it, and both the left and the mainstream media thinks what's happening now is a winning strategy for them in November.
“It’s an agenda. It’s a talking point for the Democrats. And they think they are gaining traction,” Hooper said.
And by going with nonstop coverage, KTRH’s Rush Limbaugh says he’s afraid the mainstream media is going to get someone killed.
“If the media keeps this up — if they keep up generating this hysteria — somebody’s gonna get killed. I think we’re pretty close to somebody getting killed already, and I’m not being hyperbolic, and I’m not trying to call attention to myself. I’m genuinely worried about the out-of-control aspect of this,” Limbaugh said to open Wednesday’s show on KTRH.
And in fact, a Florida man was arrested this week for threatening the children of a Republican Congressman over the latest border controversy.
