President George H.W. Bush will spend the weekend in the hospital, a spokesman said Friday.
Bush "will remain in the Houston Methodist Hospital through the weekend to continue his recovery and regaining strength," according to family spokesman Jim McGrath. "He is in excellent spirits, and is looking forward to resuming his schedule and going to Maine next month."
Bush was admitted to the hospital Sunday, a day after the funeral of first lady Barbara Bush.
