Many of us are addicted to being online

You see it all the time; people constantly with their heads buried in their phones. But the total amount of people who say they are online constantly might very well surprise you.

According to the Pew Research Center 26% of adults say they go online "almost constantly.' And that number is particularly high with millennials, who are constantly online at a 39% clip. Gabrielle Bosche with The Millennial Solution' isn't surprised at all.

“They have essentially become addicted to their device. They are the first generation that lets the world see them,” Bosche explained.

And this is having an impact, to the point that scientists are worried we really don't know how to connect anymore.

“Scientists are starting to become concerned about the way their brains are forming. Some are unable to recognize micro-expressions,” Bosche stated.

But millennials aren’t the only ones going online all the time. Americans from the age of 30 to 49 say they are almost constantly online at a 36% rate. That is up 12% since just 2015.
