WHO GREASED THE LIGHT POLES?

Remembering that old joke from my childhood: what were Tarzan's last words? "Who greased the grapevine!"

So yes, I was among millions who find it hilarious that Philadelphia police greased light poles in the City of Brotherly Love in order to keep rowdy Eagles fans from doing damage to themselves and property.

They called them the "Crisco Cops", after photos captured the big tins of shortening in the hands of cops greasing the light poles. The story got wide play and now an analytics firm figures all that publicity amounted to some 3.5 million dollars in free advertising for that very company. Hmm...Wonder what the big game will bake up?
