The Houston Happy Hikers will host a 10k/5k walk along Buffalo Bayou Sat., Sept. 30, starting at Fonde Recreation Center, 101 Sabine St. Participants in the non-competitive event can walk, jog or run at any pace, start anytime 9 a.m.-noon and finishing by 3 p.m. The trail surface is concrete and asphalt and features views of downtown Houston.
