The body has been recovered of a Houston man who slipped in Canyon Lake after giving his life jacket to his daughter.
Michael Talley, 45, was found in Canyon Lake near the site where he went missing over the weekend.
The Comal County Sheriff’s Office announced the identification of the body Tuesday.
Both were wearing life jackets, but Talley took his off and gave it to his daughter. It was his final act before disappearing below the lake's surface.
The daughter safely made it to shore.
