President Trump is reaffirming Poland as a staunch U.S. ally.
It’s part of his current overseas trip – one in which he’ll meet with Russian leader Vladimir Putin on Friday.
At a joint press conference with Polish President Andrzej Duda in Warsaw, Trump stressed the need to protect Polish and Eastern European security. Trump said the NATO remains critical and thanked Poland for paying its fair share towards the alliance. Trump also said that a deal is in the works to provide Poland with American natural gas to make sure the country isn't dependent on just one source. Duda met with Trump before the press conference and said that the two leaders discussed purchasing Patriot missiles from the United States.
