Planned Parenthood Boasts of Increased Abortions, Taxpayer Funding

Planned Parenthood finally releases its annual report which boasts about the number of abortions performed, taxpayer funding it receives, and overall profits.

Four months later than expected, Planned Parenthood says it performed more than 328,000 abortions between 2015 and 2016, thanks to a half-billion dollars in government funding and grants.

"It's appalling they think no matter what crimes they commit, no matter what injustices are at their hands that they deserve tax dollars, they deserve complete and total government funding because they have bought so many candidates who can give them that," says Emily Horne, senior legislative associate for Texas Right to Life.

Horne is hoping the Trump administration will reverse the trend.

"A lot of these policies that President Obama had are still either being phased out or being changed slowly, they're not all happening at once," she says. "The next Planned Parenthood annual report I hope will look drastically different."

Here in Texas, pro-life advocates are celebrating a ban of so-called dismemberment abortions which awaits Gov. Greg Abbott's signature.
