The Most Congested Texas Roads

The worst place to be in Texas? Driving on the West Loop between Katy and the Southwest Freeway. Sitting in the bumper to bumper traffic wastes, collectively, $98 million a year.

The Texas A&M Traffic Institute's annual report on the most congested roadways in the Lone Star State is out, and five of the worst places for congestion are in Houston.

The other four are stretches of the Eastex Freeway, the Southwest Freeway, the North Loop, and the Gulf Freeway.

The rest of the top ten are in Austin and Dallas.
