It’s been a year of experimentation in work flexibility, virtually, and now we can back to normal.
But are office environments ever likely to return to anything similar to what they looked like before the pandemic?
If you ask, workers, no. They don’t want to.
"There are a percentage of people who have always wanted to work from home," says keynote speaker and business consultant Garrison Wynn. "Those people, having had an opportunity to do so, are more likely to want to do that now."
Harvard Business School asked 1,500 people online, and found 81% don’t want to go back to the way things used to be. They like the flexibility. 27% would be happy staying home and working full time, while another 61% would be happy to spend 2-3 days at the office and a couple days working from home.

Employers are now going to have to navigate a tricky landscape of expectations for workers who have grown accustomed to setting their own schedules and found desirable flexibility in setting appointments.
