Biden Administration To Re-Open Illegal Immigrant Youth Facility

The Biden administration says they are reactivating a "temporary Influx Care Facility" in Carrizo Springs, Texas, to potentially accommodate up to 700 migrant children within the next two weeks.

Axios reports:

“President Biden is preparing for his own crisis at the U.S. border, with 5,000 migrant children and counting: The number of unaccompanied minors trying to cross is rising while coronavirus distancing requirements have cut by half the number of useable beds in government shelters.”
There are currently about 5,000 illegal immigrant children in the care of Health and Human Services, that’s about twice the number compared to late November.
The facility in Carrizo Springs has been unoccupied since late 2019."

In a released statement, the Office of Refugee Resettlement says:

“Initially, the Carrizo Springs ICF will accommodate approximately 700 children in hard-sided structures. Additional semi-permanent (soft-sided) capacity may be added if necessary, though ORR will always prioritize placing children in hard-sided structures over semi-permanent structures.”

As Fox News’ Shannon Bream pointed out, opening the illegal immigrant youth facility is the very same practice the media blasted the Trump administration over.

Mark Morgan, the former acting CPB Commissioner says Biden “with a stroke of a pen...has made our border less secure, our country less safe, has endangered the men and women on the front lines of our borders trying to protect our country...We’re in a new era here where the United States now is absolutely encouraging, incentivizing and they’re facilitating migrants to enter the border illegally. That’s where we are at right now. It’s unbelievable.”
