What we are seeing with President Joe Biden is not what we saw from President Donald Trump, and that's a bad sign for the economy.
Executive orders by the dozens. A return to more regulation. Lone Star College economist Hank Lewis says it reminds him of the first Obama administration, when it was one big 'Regulation Nation.'
"Where it becomes dicey is when the government micromanages, putting so many regulations on them that it makes it difficult to even start a business," Lewis said.
He fears we may be going there again, judging by how the new president is cracking down on oil and gas.
"My gut instinct is that we are heading back to that direction," Lewis stated.
But the one thing he does know is that if it gets to be that bad, it might open things up for Republicans in the 2022 midterm elections.
