A march in Washington, D.C., this Thursday in support of military sexual abuse victim and Houston native Vanessa Guillen is being postponed.
The demonstration to support the I Am Vanessa Guillen Act is being moved from January 21st to February.
The act aims to create a third-party agency for service members to report sexual harassment. The Fort Hood soldier was killed in 2020 by another soldier. Guillen told family before her death she was experiencing sexual harassment from an Army sergeant, but was worried about the repercussions of filing a complaint.
