President Trump says he's keeping his promise to rebuild America’s infrastructure, and that includes Houston.
The U.S. Department of Transportation is allotting 79.4 million dollars to restore and improve wharf and yard space in Port Houston. Specifically, the money go to the Barbours Cut Container Terminal. The President tweeted about the grant money, saying "GREAT for economic growth in this busy region!” The Trump campaign says it's consistent with the president's plan way back in 2018.
“We very much want the states involved in where this money goes,” President Trump said in a White House meeting in February of 2018.
The President's supporters say his opponent, Joe Biden, has not guaranteed that kind of investment.
