Celebrate Someone in the U S Armed Services Today

People across the country are thanking service members on National Armed Forces Day. In 1961, President John F. Kennedy made it a national holiday that is celebrated on the third Saturday of May.

Unlike Memorial Day, that honors those who died serving, and Veterans Day that honors all those who served, National Armed Forces Day celebrates men and women of all six branches of the U.S. military currently serving as well as those who have served.
