We all remember how the Cajun Navy from Louisiana helped us during Harvey --- now Houston is well represented by the Disaster Rescue Response Specialists Team. DRRS President Chris Fontaine says they are a non-profit disaster rescue organization made up of Houston area trained volunteers. They have equipment that ranges from boats to chain saws. Some things the organization owns and other items are owned by individual members. They are all a part of performing disaster relief on land and devastated and flooded land. Their expertise is much needed in instances like Barry. As a non profit organization, donations are gratefully accepted to help them keep helping others.
