KTRH’s Michael Berry is presenting a job fair today at the Republic Country Club in Stafford. Berry says he’s adding the recently laid off HFD firefighters to the event that’s usually focused on helping vets get back to work.
“We wanted to put these folks back to work. We’ve done two job fairs, and they were a big success. In this great economy a lot of people are hiring.
Berry says after everything these first responders do, who wouldn’t want to have one on their staff?
“The kind of guy that runs into a building when it’s on fire is the kind of person guy you want at your company. These are selfless, wonderful people, and most of them are veterans as well,” Berry explained.
The job fair opens up for the firefighters this morning at 11. Vets are welcome at Noon. All job seekers can stop by starting at 2pm in Stafford.
