Brittany Bowens, The mother of Houston 4-year-old Maleah Davis, who's been missing for over a week now, faced protesters outside the courtroom on Monday.
Bowens was in the court waiting for her ex-fiance, Derion Vence, to make another court appearance.
But, the hearing was reset.
Officials say Vence has been charged with tampering with evidence, namely a corpse, in Maleah's disappearance.
Bowens' family and relatives of Maleah's biological dad, Craig Davis, were also in the courtroom.
Protesters chanted, "Justice for Maleah! Justice for Maleah!"
There were also signs displayed with the same message.
Vence made his first court appearance at 8 p.m. Saturday, where his bond was set at $999,999 but it was later reduced to $45,000 on Monday.
He has been charged with tampering with evidence of a human corpse, a felony. He is being held in the Harris County Jail.
