Internet searches for serious health conditions have increased by thousands of percentage points over the last three years. Do doctors think this a good thing? Dr. Joe Galati, host of Your Health heard Sunday on KTRH, says it’s not always a bad thing, “I like my patients to be engaged in their treatment.
They often bring in sheets of research they have done about their symptoms to their appointment. But I ask that if my treatment is different than what they found --- they had better follow MY instructions!” Dr. Galati has another warning.
“Make sure your research is from a reputable site. I suggest you start with sites from notable hospitals and research facilities.”
