Did you see that Moon? It was some sight rising and even setting in the weekend sky. I have to thank Rachel Estrada for reminding me that it was a Super Moon and you should see the incredible photos she has posted on “Connected” from all around the world.
What made it so super…the full moon coincided this month with the Moon’s perigee or closest point to Earth…inside 360,000 kilometers. Technically, this is called a “perigee-syzygy of the Earth-Moon-Sun system.”
Syzygy…now there’s a word. But it doesn’t come close to describing the magnificence of what you could see just by looking out. Check out those photos…on “Connected.”
