He’s an iconic character of the American West or, as he entertained people across this country and in Europe, “The Wild West” of Buffalo Bill Cody.
How would you like to own one of Buffalo Bill’s favorite six-shooters or the grizzly bear, claw necklace given to him by Sitting Bull? Those are probably the two favorites of some 400 items in a Heritage auction this weekend in Dallas.
The Colt .45, bought by Buffalo Bill in 1883, the same year he started his Wild West Show, is expected to sell for a bundle, the necklace is already up to 28-thousand in online bidding, but there are lesser items too, like the gauntlets owned by the ill-fated George Armstrong Custer. I’ve posted a link.
