A new study figured out which brands of alcohol send the most people to the ER.  Obviously, the blame ACTUALLY goes to the idiots who get hammered on this stuff, but still.  Budweiser came in first, followed by Steel Reserve, Colt 45, Bud Ice, Bud Light, and a cheap vodka called Barton's.

A new study out of Johns Hopkins University found the six brands that lead to the most ER visits, in order . . .

1.  Budweiser.

2.  Steel Reserve malt liquor.

3.  Colt 45 malt liquor.

4.  Bud Ice, which isn't technically malt liquor, but does have a higher alcohol content.

5.  Bud Light.

6.  Barton's Vodka.

So:  cheap beer, cheap vodka, and 40s of malt liquor.  For what it's worth, the study is from just one hospital in Baltimore, in a mostly black neighborhood.  And malt liquor is HEAVILY advertised in black neighborhoods, which could be why it's so prominent.

But the researchers say things like malt liquor and cheap vodka and gin would probably still be on this list if it was expanded nationwide, because they offer a LOT of alcohol at a cheap price.
