I use the quote a lot...it's endemic in the oil patch, our mainstay of the Houston economy, jobs and lives. "Git 'er done!" It explains everything about the attitude in a can do city. It indicates how we approach work, obstacles and even calamity. Just do what you've got to...to git 'er done.
Anyone who wants to help in that....we're grateful. From the government entities originated for such things we expect the help. And we're grateful for the people, though exasperated sometimes, if not downright mad, about the tangles of some bureaucracies.
In the aftermath of Harvey, we're encountering the tangles now. Patience doesn't have much occupancy in a git er done mind...but some patience is in order as we move on. We are gittin er done in the city of Houston.
