Six Flags Takes Down Confederate Flag

Six Flags Over Texas has reversed an earlier decision, and will no longer fly the flag of the Confederate States of America.

The Dallas-area theme park will fly six American Flags.

The park was named for the six flags that have flown over the state, including the Republic of Texas, Mexico, Spain, France, the Confederate States of America, and the Stars & Stripes.

Officials in Arlington already said they do not sell merchandise featuring the well-known confederate battle flag.
