The second annual Houston Egyptian Festival will be held 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Sat., Oct. 28, at Discovery Green, 1500 McKinney, Downtown. Highlights will include camels rides and pictures, belly dancing performances and lessons, food, and live entertainment. A presentation will also spotlight ancient Egypt, and its history, art, and language. Kids will enjoy crafts on papyrus, henna, face painting, a costume contest and other family activities. Tickets are $10 per person, and kids under 12 are admitted free.
