Shortly after reports were released following a one-year investigation into the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary, authorities have released the tapes of the 911-calls made that tragic morning.

School officials in Newtown have been trying to prepare residents for the release of the tapes.  The school superintendent sent out an email to parents warning them that the calls might be an "emotional trigger."

This recording includes 911 calls made, phone calls routed through the state police, and event recorders in the Newtown dispatch center.

KTRH has chosen not to air these recordings but if you choose to listen, we have provided them below.

These 911 calls contain graphic sounds that some people may find very difficult to listen to, listener discretion is advised.
